"All through time, people have basically acted and reacted the same way in the market as a result of: greed, fear, ignorance, and hope. That is why the numerical formations and patterns recur on a constant basis."

Jesse Livermore in "Reminiscences of a Stock Operator" Edwin Lefèvre, 1923

Purpose

Home: About

The aim of this blog is to provide specific price target and reversal point predictions for the major: equity indices, currencies and commodities using long term price charts, pattern recognition and Fibonacci projections. In doing so the author aims to show that markets have a long term cause and effect narrative which can be explained purely from the price action, without any reference to news events or economic data.

About The Author

James Tuffin was born in England but lives in Zug Switzerland. As a qualified accountant, his journey into the financial markets began with classic, company fundamentals, style analysis, and single stock investments. Gradually, in search of the bigger market picture, he changed his focus towards index investing and technical analysis. Now he specializes in long term price pattern recognition and Fibonacci projections across currencies, fixed income and equities.

James has a passion for politics and economics and blends this into the analysis, to show that despite what we may think about news dictating the markets, the markets themselves are often a good predictor of the news.
